This course will equip you as a leader with the necessary personal paddling and open water leading skills in order that you can make appropriate decisions and select the correct skills in a moderate water environment.
Safety, leadership, and group skills are important elements of the leadership award and will be covered over the two days. Your skills will also become more fluid as you develop your ability to link strokes and tactics together to suit a variety of situations.
A full detailed action plan during the course will assist in your personal development after your training course to help you continue your development towards assessment.
The pre-requisites for this are:
- Evidence of having paddled open water in windy conditions
- Canoe award and working towards the progressive award
